London Taxi Drivers have always been extremely philanthropic, giving freely of their time and their vehicles to give those less fortunate much-welcomed respite with fun-filled days out by the seaside.
Drivers also work hard throughout the year to raise money for their chosen charity, all of those on the committee’s of Taxi Trade Charities work tirelessly without recompense, taking many days out from work to organise trips and events throughout the year.
Albany Taxi Charity Fund
The Albany (established in 1972) works with schools and day centres to give children with special needs and seriously ill children much needed days out by the coast, parties and raise funds to buy specialised equipment that they might not otherwise be able to afford.

WCHCD Magical Taxi Tour to Disneyland Paris for Seriously Ill Children
The Magical Taxi Tour is organised by The Company Of Hackney Carriage Drivers giving sick children a break from their World of therapy and treatment, on a trip of a lifetime to the fairytale magical kingdom. Registered Charity Number 1172474

East London Cabbies Outing
The journey begins with about 70 taxis leaving from Stratford in London between 9.30 am and 10am with full police escort.
We have meeting points on the journey for the rest of the taxis to join us in the convoy. By the time we reach Romford, all the taxis are together in convoy, with the children and their parents/carers on board.
